The Spice Jars is an ode to all foods global, colorful and flavorful. While not every recipe here is guaranteed to be 100% authentic, I hope you’ll find them to be good enough to eat, and accessible enough to make yourself, without breaking a sweat or spending a fortune.
I’m big into foods that are healthy as well as tasty, so you’ll find that a lot of the recipes you’ll see here reflect that. (Except maybe for all the bread. I can’t help my love of carbs.) I’ve also been mostly vegetarian for going on 6 years, so much of what you’ll see here is veggie-friendly, or even vegan.
I’m a big proponent of the “clean out the fridge” approach to cooking, so if you want to substitute anything based on what you already have around, go for it!
